Kittie Rescue
Last week, we were on our way home from breakfast when we walked past a longkang next to the Gombak MRT station. I looked in and saw a black fur ball squirming inside. It was wet and shaking and had pointy ears. I thought it was a rat!
A lady was staring at it and she told me that it’s a little kitten (about a foot long) that was walking on the pavement along the canal when a motorbike roared. The poor kitty was so frightened that it jumped into the canal. It got wet. With the walls about 3 meters high, it was impossible for it to climb up!
It tried to hide in one of the drain holes on the wall. It actually managed to get its head in. I was so sad watching the poor kitty, I just had to do something! The lady said that it was in that position for two hours already… (more…)

I am Dawn, an undergraduate in Accountancy, and entering my 4th year in SMU. :)
I am looking for students, preferably Primary 6 students who are in need of some coaching for the up-coming PSLE in October. :)
I have three years of experience in Primary 1 – 6 in English, Maths and Science. I will go to your home for private tutoring – if you live in the Western or Northern side of Singapore. I live in Bukit Batok, so anywhere around this area will be most ideal. I charge the market rate of $25 for three subjects. I also do group tuition of up to three students; separate rates apply.

Weird goings at Little Guilin
Wednesday evening, I woke up from my nap of 3 hours and saw that out of my window, a large crowd had gathered on a side of LG. There was a police line that cordoned off the whole LG to the public. The on-lookers were pressed up against the line, trying to get a better view of what’s going on in the lake. Also, I counted 3 police cars and a few fire engines. (Zw, who later drove by the area – in a CAB haaaaaahaaaa, said that there were as many as 8 police cars. I really think police are very free.) My dad even spotted a rescue boat!
