My birthday at Telok Blangah
My cuz June bought a brownie cake from Secret Recipe! It was a departure from the usual Banana Choc but was still good. Coupled with my dad’s ice cream tubs contributions, super sweet – I’m feeling a cough coming on…
Before my niece and nephews blew out the cake (adorned with 2 big candles and 2 small ones that tricked my niece to thinking that I was the same age as her), I wished for… Hahah, cannot say, or else it won’t come true! :P
Anyway, did you watch the Singapore GP? Only one word to describe it: Crazy! Massa, who was the top qualifier and who was holding off the hot-fave Hamilton, suffered HUGE because Ferrari’s Lollipop Man made a blunder and gave him the good-to-go. This caused Massa to drive off with the fuel hose still attached!!! Omg. Imagine the shock (psychological and physical) that the hose guy experienced.

Blackle, the new Google
I was so intrigued by Shuang Ai’s cool black Google interface.
It helps to save energy by converting the white background black.
I think it’s cool to save energy. And I think it’s cooler to have a black interface! Easier on the eyes too!
However, only works for finding websites and not images, maps, news, etc.
Poor baby
Smoothie (the hamster-looking piglet), has something wrong with its eyes. Cannot open and got a lot of discharge. And the mom has abandoned it, probably cos it’s weak and tiny. And Smoothie is much smaller than its siblings. So worried for it. We took it out from the regular cage and put it alone in a box. Its so still, like too weak to move. We had its eyes washed with tap water and saline. Also gave it some milk to drink. Hope it helps. I’m so scared that it’ll die.

Wonderful
Wanted to come home and blog about the horrible tuition class I had this morning that saw me physically fighting for my rights at work and left me very shaken and disturbed. (Well I’m actually glad it happened because it helped me make up my mind about certain things. Sry abt ambiguity.)
Anyway, what greeted me when I came home were my two brothers crowding around the guinea pigs’ cage. Which was weird, cos David was supposed to be at church and Daniel was supposed to be still sleeping (at 1pm). They called me to the cage and omg, I saw 4 terribly cute and wrinkled little’uns inside!!
All got hair!
Three are mainly white-brown (though none of the parents are predominantly brown! Hmm… LADYY!!!
We’ve suspected for about three weeks now, that Lady was pregos, cos she’s been getting really fat, really defensive (as in she keeps yelping whenever we touch her), and her tummy felt strange like there were these bones protruding. Yea, so they were foetuses, which are actually quite big, like the size of a grown hamster. Can’t imagine how Lady managed to store four not-so-little’uns inside of her – well she did look really big nearing the end of her term. Now she’s a slender little lady! :)

P.S. Can I say that if the babies of pigs are called “piglets”, then the babies of guinea pigs are called “guinea piglets“???!!!

I’m no song-writer or musician, but I think it’s beautifully written. The chords are perfect, and the melody is surprising. And there’s this subtle waltz tempo at the background.
First heard it at Shut Up & Dance concert where it was the song for the pas de deux, one of my favourites in the concert. Had serious goosebumps at the back of my neck when the story unfolded and we learned that the girl in red was actually a ghost. :O
